Field Electrical Engineer

Our client is an international engineering company specialized in industrial plant construction and technology solutions for the metals and heavy industry sectors. They are currently involved in a major project in Germany and are looking for an experienced Field Electrical Supervisor to support site activities.

Role Overview

The Field Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising electrical installation activities on site, ensuring that works are performed safely, according to project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical installation and construction activities on site.

  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors performing electrical works.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and procedures.

  • Verify correct installation of electrical equipment, cabling systems, panels, and field instrumentation.

  • Support construction planning and ensure progress aligns with the project schedule.

  • Monitor site activities and report progress to the Construction / Site Manager.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and promote a strong safety culture on site.

  • Participate in inspections, testing, and pre-commissioning activities when required.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, civil, commissioning) to ensure proper interface management.

  • Prepare site reports and highlight technical or scheduling issues.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background.

  • Proven experience as Electrical Supervisor or Electrical Site Supervisor on industrial projects.

  • Experience in heavy industry plants (steel, metals, power, or similar industrial facilities) is strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, cabling, switchgear, and field equipment.

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing field activities.

  • Good understanding of HSE requirements on construction sites.

  • Ability to work in an international project environment.

  • English professional working proficiency
