Job Title
Commissioning Manager – Offshore Wellhead Platform
Location
Milan base for 10 months +
Malta Base for 12 months +
Offshore Libya (Rotation as per project requirements)
Job Purpose
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all commissioning and ready for start-up activities for an offshore wellhead platform and a Fast Moving Workover Rig, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient handover to Operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the commissioning strategy, plans, and procedures.
• Lead offshore commissioning activities (w/o Feedstock), assist Client during start up and commissioning with Feedstock and performance test.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, FMWR subcontractor and Company drilling, Operations, and project teams.
• Oversee commissioning of wellhead equipment, process, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, control, and safety systems (ESD, F&G, HIPPS).
• Manage SIMOPS during commissioning and start-up phases.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, offshore regulations, and permit-to-work systems.
• Track commissioning progress, manage punch lists, and resolve technical issues.
• Knowledge of ENI CMMS system
• Prepare and approve commissioning documentation and system handover dossiers.
HSE Responsibilities
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe execution of all commissioning activities.
Coordinating the MEDEVAC services wheatear necessary,
Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related).
12+ years offshore oil & gas experience, with 5+ years in a commissioning leadership role.
Proven commissioning and start-up experience on offshore wellhead platforms.
Knowledge of international standards (API, IEC, ISO, NORSOK, DNV).
