Job Description:

We are looking for a QA/QC Manager to join the Danieli project team in Leoben (Styria, Austria) for a major steel plant construction.
The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities on site, ensuring that all works comply with client specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.

This role involves close coordination with project management, engineering, and subcontractors to guarantee that the construction and installation phases are carried out according to the highest quality and safety standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan in compliance with client and Danieli requirements.

  • Supervise QA/QC teams and ensure effective inspection and test activities for civil, mechanical, and E&I works.

  • Review and approve ITPs, quality procedures, and test documentation from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Monitor site quality performance and ensure that all works adhere to project specifications.

  • Manage non-conformities (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventive measures.

  • Prepare quality reports, KPIs, and documentation for internal and client review.

  • Lead audits and inspections with client representatives and third parties.

  • Ensure proper traceability of materials, test certificates, and construction records.

  • Support commissioning teams in final inspections and handover activities.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or equivalent technical background.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC management for industrial or steel plant projects.

  • Strong knowledge of international quality standards (ISO 9001, EN, ASME, IEC).

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary QA/QC teams.

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

  • Good knowledge of English (working level); German is an advantage.

  • EU citizenship required.
