We are looking for a HSE Manager for our client in the Steel sector.
Activities and responsabilities:
- Erection and commissioning of an expander press with auxiliary system in a Steel Plant.
- Willingness to continuously supervise the activities of workers directly in the work area, carrying out office activities at the end of shift
- Organize safety training focused on site-specific risks, safety measures, and procedures.
- Implement personnel identification systems to ensure only authorized individuals can access the site.
- Set up identification systems for vehicles and equipment on site.
- Organize periodic safety coordination meetings with the Client's personnel, subcontractors, and possibly the Client's Site Coordinator to define procedures.
- Conduct emergency drills based on the site's configuration and emergency plan.
- Perform safety compliance inspections on the job site, including safe work procedures, written reports, and recommendations.
- Stop activities temporarily if safety conditions are deemed inadequate.
- Organize and document Toolbox Talks to address safety concerns, recovery measures, and restarting activities.
- Report any nonconformity related to unsafe behaviors or conditions on site.
- Implement Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag Out systems during plant commissioning.
- Organize necessary safety training courses on site.
- Manage incident reporting processes, including investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and protective actions.
Requirements:
- Mandatory English at least B2 - CEFR. Welcome Swedish, Welcome Italian
- Italian / French or international training as Safety Manager (e.g.: NEBOSH, IOSH, RSPP, ASPP)
- Engineering Graduation / Safety engineering / Industrial technical diploma / Similar scientific degree
- 5 years in safety role in Metalworker contexts, preferably Metallurgical – steelworks
